Howard’s Heroes Free Family Support Programs
Parent-to-Parent Autism Support Group
2nd Thursday of each month
7:00 to 8:30 pm

A safe, welcoming space for parents and caregivers raising children with autism or developmental differences. Join us each month to connect with others who understand, share experiences, and gain helpful tools for navigating home, school, and community life.

Dinner and child care are provided — so you can focus on support, not logistics. Guest speakers and resource sessions are featured throughout the year.

This program is offered free of charge by Howard’s Heroes (501c3), in partnership with the Howard Intervention Center. Accommodations are available for families with special needs – please let us know when you RSVP.

Howard’s Heroes Parents’ Night Out (Supervised Kids’ Social)
1st Friday of each month
6:00 to 8:00 pm
Matteson or Oak Forest (RSVP for details)

Take a well-deserved break while your child enjoys an evening of fun, friendship, and skill-building in a structured, supervised environment.

Our trained team of ABA professionals and volunteers lead engaging activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and self-confidence — all in a safe, sensory-friendly space.

This program is completely free for families, thanks to community sponsorship and donor support.

Howard’s Heroes My Parents & Me Social Group (Ages 2 – 7)
1st Saturday of each month
10:00 to 11:00 am
Matteson or Oak Forest (RSVP for details)

A hands-on, play-based group where children and caregivers learn together through guided activities designed by licensed professionals. Families practice communication, sharing, and emotional regulation while connecting with others on a similar journey.

Each session includes take-home strategies and materials to encourage learning through play at home.
